Rumors that US Senator Marco Rubio will soon become the new US Secretary of State lend credence to the narrative that the Trump administration may attempt to coerce Kyiv into a peace settlement.
Ukraine needs to ignore the US if it kowtows to Russia. Europe needs to step up and build its military and supply Ukraine with everything it needs, if necessary. Ukraine should also get some nukes.
Rubio is a cretin. I hope Europe's help is enough to let Ukraine end the war on Ukraine's terms.
Trump nominated Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. From Wikipedia:

Ukraine really just needs to get some new nukes at this point. As much as I hate the idea of nuclear proliferation, Russia has very clearly proven it's the only way to stay sovereign against a nuclear power.
Gaetz is a loyalty test for the Senate, to see if they'll really let Trump be a dictator. If he gets blocked, expect calls for senators to resign.
