Having that tattoo 100 years ago and over decades must have sucked...
Yeah, it's me again, please remove the border and re-color Poland, Austria, ...
Nevermind, German lost, change the color back and add borders...
37 0 ReplyI'm guessing the person with this tattoo gets them colored in once they've visited that country, which if so I think that's pretty cool
20 1 ReplyIt's just bragging with your privilege.
There's nothing really exciting about having visited lots of countries anymore. Just means you have a couple grand to burn each year on flights, and don't care about the climate.6 31 ReplyThere's plenty of ways to visit countries that won't involve flying. Some of those quite CO2 neutral.
6 1 ReplyUnless you are a pretty serious sailor you'll struggle with crossing the Atlantic or Pacific though.
3 0 ReplyIt's possible to crew for others. When we sailed across the Atlantic ten years ago (on a sail training ship), one of the people on board was for the first time on a sailboat.
2 1 ReplyThat's great! What an experience for them. Quite impractical for most, though, I assume. How long did it take you?
2 0 ReplyThe actual Atlantic crossing was 14 days
1 0 ReplyThat's quite a bit shorter than I expected actually! But, sadly still not really approachable for most people.

2 0 ReplyLet me take a wild guess - you never moved your arse outside of your own country?

It’s already out of date because it’s missing the 2011 border between Sudan and South Sudan.
The map is also kind of a blobby mess in the Middle East, with a few countries missing, and they forgot the border between Algeria and Mauritania.
