Taking a look at the new episodic weapons today. I'm not sure which of these are currently available and which ones are coming later in the Episode.** You can craft Purple Tonics to focus drop specific weapons from this set. **
Origin Trait: Dark Ether Reaper - Final Blows create dark ether charges. Charges can be shot or detonate after a period of time. Detonating a charge reloads the weapon from reserves
New Perks:
Rimestealer - Destroying a Stasis Crystal or defeating a frozen target with this weapon grants a stack of Frost Armor
Envious Arsenal - Dealing damage with both other weapons before readying this weapon reloads it from reserves.
Lone Wolf - Slightly improves aim assist, ADS, and AE. Improves the effect when no allies are near.
Closing Time - Improve Range, Accuracy, and Handling as the magazine gets lower.
This is the second dual fire GL we've ever gotten.
Not really interested in this for PVP. The two grenades are pretty small and fire in a fork pattern so it would be hard to hit a guardian with them.
This seems like an okay weapon but might be outclassed by the Stasis GL we got in the last Episode IMO.
Exuviae:
120 RPM Stasis HC
PVE Rolls
Rimestealer + Headstone
PVP Rolls
Keep Away/To The Pain/ Encore + Explosive Payload
Cool Guy did a video on the PVE roll for this weapon already. Basically you have near 100% uptime on Frost Armor with that combo.
It's got a few decent dueling rolls for PVP. I'm not sure how HCs are doing in Crucible now after the range adjustments a while back though.
I believe this is the first Stasis 120rpm HC we've had.
Red Tape:
Stasis 200 RPM Scout Rifle
PVE Rolls
Rimestealer + Headstone
PVP Rolls
Keep Away/Closing Time + Explosive Payload/Rampage/High Impact Reserves
Another weapon with the free Frost Armor combo.
200 RPM scouts usually do okay in PVP. I'm interested to see how Closing Time fits in the meta.
Some of those PVP combos could also work in PVE.
Vantage Point:
Arc Adaptive Frame Pulse Rifle
PVE Rolls
Stats for All/Eddy Current/Keep Away + Voltshot/Jolting Feedback
PVP Rolls
Keep Away + Headseeker
So light.gg says this gun cannot roll with Voltshot but you 100% get a SFA/VS roll from Eido towards the beginning of the quest line. Not sure what that's about.
Jolting Feedback sounds kind of broken if the Jolt is applied quickly. Sounds like Voltshot with less steps.
Depending on how good Closing Time is those PVP rolls look to be spicy.
Shotguns in PVP are still very meh and I've got other void SGs that can do what this one does.
Sovereignty:
Adaptive Void Sniper
PVE Rolls
Demolitionist + Firing Line/Withering Gaze
PVP Rolls
No Distractions/Discord/Steady Hands + Box Breathing/
Withering Gaze seems useful for DPS rotations.
In PVP this is the hard scoper's sniper. I'm still not sure it's worth taking over something with Moving Target. In PVP if you're sniping you need to be making headshots and Moving Target really helps with that.
Noxious Vetiver:
Arc 600 RPM Precision SMG
PVE Rolls
Loose Change + Voltshot/Jolting Feedback
PVP Rolls
Heating Up/To The Pain + Desperate Measures/Rampage/Target Lock
Slim pickings for reload perks to combine with Voltshot and nothing to really combine well with Jolting Feedback?
PVP options are just okay. I don't see a reason to use this over your current favorite SMG.
Bitter/Sweet:
Arc Adaptive Heavy GL
PVE Rolls
Envious Arsenal + Bait and Switch/Cascade Point
Envious Arsenal is actually the perfect perk to pair with either Bait and Switch or Cascade Point as for both of those you have to use your other weapons to trigger the perk.
With GLs being hot this Episode this probably one to farm for.
Heretic's Fervor:
Stasis Aggressive Rocket Launcher
PVE Rolls
Auto Loading Holster/Tracking Module/Field Prep/Slideshot(?) + Explosive Light/Harmony/Chill Clip/Bipod(?)/Vorpal
Take your pick of combos here. I'm not actually sure how good Bipod is after they buffed it a while ago.
Slideshot might be interesting? I worry that would cause a lot of chaos during a DPS phase. Maybe for solo play.
For PVP it does have quickdraw in the first column but I think rockets don't really need help from ANY perk in PVP.
