I made a post in the general discussion channel about my neighbor's dogs barking all night, and instead of just allowing the fucking thread to continue as a general discussion, it's locked by a moderator and told the post here. Y'all literally turn into this place into Reddit.
If it was posted to a political thread, sure, but it's literally fucking called general discussion. The best part about leaving Reddit were the moderators who just had to have control of something in their lives, and here we are again.
Would it have broken Lemmy to leave the fucking post up?
Hey I feel your pain. Overzealous moderators who act unilaterally outside of their own posted rules without justfying themselves annoy me even more than the bastards who let their dogs bark.
I tried to post this over there but because it was locked I couldn't, so here it is: Get a Bluetooth speaker and put it as close to your dipshit neighbor's yard as you can and still control it. Look up one of the many dogwhistle videos on YouTube. Crank that high pitched noise up to the max until the dog shuts up. Close your windows and put in earphones to block it out.
100%, the post and the general discussion thread could have continued and the mod could have informed me about a better place to post. But instead the entire conversation is locked lol
Oh. I thought you were mad about someone else's choices about their own community. You are saying that they shouldn't have the choice to remove content that they don't think fits in their community right?
