A.I. Chat removed from site?
I just happened to notice that the A.I. chat is no longer on the top bar of the perchance.org website.
I know it's been having issues the last few days (ever since the summary update, really), but this is concerning, combined with the fact there's been no acknowledgement of the bugs from the dev that I've seen.
I'm just worried that it's being discontinued or removed. I'd be absolutely crushed if it went away. Just wondering what's going on?

If you open a generator in edit mode (i.e. with #edit at the end of the URL) then that button isn't shown. If you go out of edit mode and refresh, the button will appear.

No, the AI plugins will never be removed, never be paywalled, etc. I have noticed in some social media posts there's a weird anxiety around the AI stuff on Perchance going away, or being made a "premium" feature, or something. I want to very strongly reiterate: This will never happen. It's sustainable thanks to ads (+ a lot of work optimizing the load balancing server and GPU servers), and it's completely self-funded, so I don't have investors telling me to filter it, or try to make a profit, or whatever. The AI plugins will only ever get upgraded, and they'll always be free. If you come across other anxious people, please link them to this post.
(I'm guessing the fear comes mostly from seeing other "AI sites" shutting down, or doing a bait-and-switch by making it free for a while, and then charging once the site becomes popular, or adding a filter in order to attract investors, and stuff like that. Once you've been here for a while, you'll start to understand that Perchance is "weird" in a way that puts it in a completely different category from sites like that. Perchance is a "public good" that I maintain, not a "startup".)

Was just letting you know. I mean, I had hoped you were aware of the issues, like the summaries being unusable despite the recent update. I was just concerned that I never saw like a 'I'm aware of the issues. May take some time." or something, lol.
Seeing the A.I. chat disappear from the top-bar freaked me out a little, though. (I just checked the site in incognito mode and it's still missing. I've refreshed pages. Dunno.)
And, I really, super appreciate that you're doing your utmost to keep things free, but seriously, if you had like a ko-fi or anything, I'd be happy to throw a little money your way. No strings attached, just appreciation for this amazing app. I'm not a developer, just a user, but it's like...my favorite thing now, lol. I can't wait for the summaries and memories to come back because it's pretty...hard to keep a story coherent right now, lol.

Weird. I'm curious - can you try in guest mode? I.e. if in chrome, then click the avatar in the top right (to the left of the 3 vertical dots) and then click the "Guest" profile.
I can’t wait for the summaries and memories to come back because it’s pretty…hard to keep a story coherent right now, lol.
Summaries should have been working fine, but I think I just discovered the and fixed the bug that was causing this - thanks!! Memories hopefully will be added back in the next few days (otherwise keep pestering via the feedback button to move it up my todo list).
For the record, I see the ai chat link in my browser just fine, logged out or logged in, at all times. Remember, that's just a link to a page. You can always go straight to that page without that link to take you there. So even if you can't see the button you can still use that generator.
Yeah, I have it bookmarked. Just thought it was an ominous sign, lol. (But it was...scaling issues. x_x )
