I'd go Beto-Gretchen.
Beto couldn't even beat Ted Cruz.
He lost to Greg Abbott too.
Ugh, God, that was even more of a morale hit than losing to Cruz imo.
At that point, Abbott had already introduced his super fucked up "heart beat bill" pre RvW reversal, and Texans still put their guns over the lives of the women around them.
That's when I started to become defeatist.
And holy shitballs, the gloating from Republicans was fucking insufferable.
There's really no reason to jump to him rather than someone already in national politics, but winning a senate seat in Texas is actually harder than winning the presidency.
It's certainly difficult to do if you announce you're going to take people's AR-15's.
