  • I married into a Mennonite family here in Canada and watched some history movie about their flight from Europe to Canada as refugees (theres a lot of them over here).

    Anyways, it really stuck with me listening to the Behind the Bastards episodes about Makhno that the Mennonites left Europe and did the EXACT SAME THING in Canada that they did in Ukraine. They got brought in by the Canadian government to be the new landowners of colonized land that was freshly stolen from indigenous folks.
