I mean, I was considering posting it in the regular memes community, because I do genuinely find it humorous that humanity scaled up cow milk production, when oat milk production is just significantly simpler, to the best of my knowledge.
But I didn't want to tone down the ridiculousness of some of the steps involved in industrial cow milk production, because that's kind of the point of the meme format. Non-vegans would likely be so pre-occupied with that, that they'd miss the joke, which is why I decided to post it here instead.
If you want to argue against some of the points, do feel free. But please do understand that this is a shitty meme. I can't fit a whole dissertation into it, to cover each and every nuance.
Yeah, the top-half is simplifying a bit, because well, it is a meme, but apparently, there's also just multiple ways to do it.
Some companies do mix oat, water, amylase, oil, sugar and whatnot.
Whereas the oat milk I have at home, genuinely just lists as ingredients: water, oat, salt.
In the descriptive text, they do tell, though, that they ferment the oats.
