Oh it's not just the Chinese, and it's not by choice.

I don't want violence, but the ultra rich won't understand anything else. That's why we keep seeing news articles about all the fortified bunkers they're building for themselves. They are aware that their actions are reaching a fever pitch, but rather than stop they just keep going.
