Brisbane 2032 Olympic organisers plan a drone show for July 22, 2023, to mark nine years until the opening ceremony.
22 July is also the day of the first FIFA Women's World Cup match in Brisbane.

Did the Brisbane council just discover Drones or something? They're getting them at Riverfire this year too
I think they like them because there's less fire hazard? Basically able to do the same kind of light show thing as fireworks, but safer. Less of a bang too, which may be a positive or negative, depending on your perspective.
