[USA Today] Tarantulas in Texas are popping out of the earth. Here's what they're looking for.

I was under the impression that USA Today would at least have an editor.

I lived in the California desert where they do that too. Creepy as hell. It’s like a wave of tarantulas sweeping across the desert.

It’s cool to see that they interviewed David Moellendorf for the article. He has a species of tarantula (Aphonopelma moellendorfi) named for him. I was able to purchase a spiderling from his shop a couple years ago.

They’re just out there looking for love.
