Gov. Gavin Newsom's campaign donor says his Panera Bread restaurants will follow new minimum wage law after backlash

This is the kind of thing that can keep Newsom from being viable nationally.

The optics aren't great. And on most things... I like him. Including sending help to SF and Oakland in the form of additional CHP (they're sane, locally) and prosecutorial help.

It's not like they could just opt-out. This was all a bunch of sensationalized bullshit from the beginning.
