Aurora Mayor Ann Womer Benjamin presented a proposal to council Monday night to acquire Geauga Lake, with 40 acres of lakefront land that was once the former SeaWorld property.

I just drove passed there a few weeks ago for a wedding, first time since they closed Six Flags. It was really quite sad to see that it's been just vacant this whole time. I'm pleasantly surprised to see it going to benefit the community! Any idea why it never got turned into housing developments?
