I have no business picking up a paintbrush I"m a engineer by trade. But I wanted this image out of my head. I call it Mondays... the nonsense we build in our heads when hit tap our fight/flight system.
I am going to use this as a base and overlay more detail, a lighting strike down the center ( you can see the shadow I have on the boat I'll try and position it properly) and add some massive wave starting to tumble at the top with water misting away as it does in seconds long free fall.
Any suggestions? I don't know anything about mixing colors or techiques or anything, but my main goal is to have fun.
This is giving me more respect for artists. Tjhanks!
Is the top supposed to be sky? You've got black in the sky and the "walls" which makes it a little unclear whether they're connected. If the "sky" is supposed to look far away, I recommend having less overlap in colors between the sky and the "walls."
that is going to be my base layer I will paint over it, I just didn't know a better way to start painting a dark painting on white canvass so I figured I'd build up my dark layers and start adding on top lighter and lighter layers. I hope to separate the walls from the sky more with texture as not as much with color, the clouds will be circular ish to match the circular ish sheilds on the boat, while everything else is this sweeping arc like the walls,
