Fun times when we depend on trade for food.
It feels that Latvian farmers have forgotten that last year Latvia had one of the highest inflation rates in the EU...
- I'll bite. What does this protest or proposed ban on RU/BY foodstuffs have to do with ( particulary high ) LV inflation rates?
  
  Latvia does not produce enough food for itself. EU imports are very expensive. Belarusian imports specifically were a life line for Latvia. If they ban everything, prices will skyrocket once again and the population will be royally fucked.
