I quit grad school and made 250k in California smoking weed everyday. My postdoc buddies are still stuck in publish or perish and teaching in no name European universities.

Get good at programming systems that mix audio and control stage lighting, speakers, distortion effects, etc.
The move to California.
Leaving academia was definitely one of the best choices I ever made for my (physical, mental and financial) health.
I don't regret doing my PhD, but I definitely spent two years too many on the postdoc treadmill.
