They broke into the capitol during a joint session of congress to overturn an election. They directly threatened to murder members of the government if they did not capitulate. That’s an insurrection. And It certainly wasn’t peaceful.
Its more that you were so wrong that you realized there was no way for you to be right, so you started a completely different argurment that you felt was similar
Whataboutism, classic right wing attempt at deflection.
The point is that conservative Republicans are just as capable of violence when they don't get their way. They've claimed for years that they're better than everyone else because they don't riot when they lose, and then they lost and rioted, thus proving themselves wrong. Then they spout off about how it was a false flag antifa operation or how it wasn't "that much of a riot" like you just tried to.
Trump goaded them on, and then back-pedaled when they actually went and destroyed the place because he didn't expect they'd follow through. Had he not been there to rile them up, it's unlikely that the protest would have ended up as a riot. Since it did, he stoked the fire and should be held accountable for those actions.
Or... Let me just put it this way, remove Trump and replace with Biden. Is it an insurrection now? Should Biden not be allowed to run? We all know what you'd say, since conservatives have already demonstrated their double standards regarding sexual misconduct. Trump can openly claim rich men get to rape women due to the implications of their wealth and ability to lawyer up, but Bill Clinton gets a consensual BJ and he needs to be impeached over it.
You're just mad because the Republican candidate is being held to the same standards you demand Democrat candidates be held to. Which is basically the political version of a 6 year old crying on the playground because they didn't win.
