Why Victoria is having a pet census
The census is the first of its kind in the country.
Victorians are being asked to fill out the state government's pet census — the first of its kind in Australia.
Minister for Agriculture Gayle Tierney says she wants to see responses from owners of all sorts of animals.
The minister joins Ali Moore on ABC Radio Melbourne Mornings to explain how the data will be used.
As long as they get data on cat owners in wildlife zones who let their cat outside.
And allocate animal control officers as appropriate.

Where am I being asked? I haven't been asked...
5 0 ReplyNormalise walking your cat on a leash and never letting it out of the house at other times. I fucking hate those invasive flea bags but they need to be able to get fresh air and they can't keep destroying the local fauna. The owners are the problem.
