mstdn tweets being called toots is horrible, they need a new name IMO...
There has been a new name for ages, they're called posts now, they're only called that by people who have been around for a while and liked the weird name. Being "professional" is boring
It’s ok to be quirky but the word toots gives a cheap knock off vibe, and I’m saying this as a lover of the fediverse.
They aren't called toots, other than by people who call them toots. I still call them toots for nostalgia sake and because I'm a sucker for whimsy

They are, the name was officially changed ages ago. They're only called Toots by Mastodon old-schoolers.
Toots are way better 😂
