  • Oh....yeah, this is a bit of an older one, but def a golden one!

Something about the progression from light to intense, and the timer/countdown thing that goes on is just...very nice.

    • When I was looking for something to post and going through Caroo's old stuff, I was reminded how much I love all those older pieces. My favorite sequence featuring Alex starts at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22672152/. My memory said it was by Caroo, but actually it was by (at the time naughtycat) nick.

      • Oh wow...thanks for sharing! That is indeed a pretty good sequence, and i've seen a FEW other art pieces from that creator before!

Oh, also thanks for the 'older pieces' quip...I saw a subgroup here on yiffit called 'ancient yiff', and realized I have...some pretty old stuff saved up from way back in the day. Some of it was before FA was even a thing, IIRC! I'm gonna have to shoot a DM to this subthread mod, and see if i'm allowed to post things like old comics if it's not possible to really give credit...

        • If you haven't seen it, here is a list of the communities, and a link for you so you don't even have to leave your instance. https://pawb.social/post/4419116.

From the rules on [email protected] :

          • Add attribution in the title
          • If possible add a link to an artist’s gallery (some might not even exist anymore)

So long as you know who it is you should be good. If you don't best effort is probably okay, but I'm not the mod so I can't say for sure.

          • Wow, thanks for all that! I'm actually pretty new to social media as a whole, and really appreciate you going through the trouble of giving me those helpful links and tips!

though, I didn't really mean posting anything over there. I meant here, in this... community.

I've been around for a while, and have...a slight, tiny problem with hoarding media. So I'm thinking it might be fun to post really old stuff here, and see if anyone recognizes it. Or, see how others feel about seeing things from back in the past XD

            • No trouble. I'd love to see more interaction here, and being a NSFW instance, I know it can be kinda hard to see whats around if this isn't your home instance.

Post wherever you think fits best. The cross-post function works pretty well here and doesn't seem to clutter up anything. Unless your viewing the profile of whoever posted it, I think you only ever see one, with a link to the other.

I started hording media when I would go back and find something I used to like missing. Now if I think I'd go back, it gets saved. From when I was asking if we are all in tech like the memes say, it seemed a lot of the folks around here are in college, recent grads; I'm sure there's lots that people have never seen.

              • Yeah, i'm gonna have to see if there's gonna be an easy solution to browsing just a single instance in an android app.

Oah...good to know there are also other people who keep things like that! I'll be sure to go through my collection sometime with the thought of finding fun stuff to post in this instance, in general~

                • Don't know about any apps, but the only way to browse a particular instance is to have an account there, or to subscribe to everything and brows subscriptions. There are some external tools, like lemmyexplorer that allow you to see what communities exist, there are some tools that help with converting a link to your home instance too, but nothing built in to the standard experience.

The fediverse symbol in by comments and posts is a link for the comment or post from the home instance of that comment.

                  • Yeah, I think your right. I'm either gonna have to start looking at this on a browser more often, or just make a 2nd acc over hear to make lazy phone browsing either. I'll also dig into some of the 3rd party apps, and see if it might have anything that can help me.

I just wanna say that I really appreciate you giving me all these tips and stuff. I consider myself pretty tech-centric, but I don't have any experience with social media (not even reddit!) so...it helps quite a bit. Glad to see the furry instances are just as warm, welcoming, and fuzzy as ever!
