How fast do Lemmy instances copy content from each other? I can’t access it from my instance yet (22 minutes after this post was made)
1 0 ReplyI've actually been wondering this myself and haven't gotten an answer yet. At any rate, the workaround we found over at lemmy.pt is pretty reliable:
- Go to the Communities page on your home instance
- In the search box, search for
[email protected]
so in this case[email protected]
, with the exclamation mark at the front. - Wait like 10 seconds and search again for just the name of the community, so in this case
wine
.
This seems to be a way to force your home lemmy to "learn" about the remote community at which point you can subscribe to it.
1 0 Replyhey I’m also having issues accessing this community from lemmy.ca. It doesn’t seem to appear in the search communities function. Any idea?
