Just this morning I read an article posted to Lemmy about an effort to hold a boycott against Loblaws and the difficulties of boycotting what is basically a monopoly for an essential service (in many places lacking competition, or where the competition is pulling the same shit, it wouldn't be a boycott so much as a hunger strike). Looks like someone found a way around that conundrum!
I switched to the local international grocery and Longo's. At least then I'm supporting small business. I am at an advantage living in a large city with local options which many don't have, but it's honestly working well.
