They put boots in place to downvote all lemmy comments and post about how horrible it is. The funny thing is that 2 weeks ago the posts had about 20 up to 40 likes, now I look at my front page here and it's in the 100s. There is a post with 500 likes!

No surprise I noticed a constant stream of users demanding that mods stop the "lame" protests and get back to real content, way more than you might expect if it wasn't bots. Astroturfing at the speed of the Internet.
With how sketchy the history of reddits CEO is, I would absolutely believe that they were astroturfing their own site. It's all about going public and getting that money. I hope it's a huge flop.
