  • The Brutalist! I enjoyed it, and it didn't feel like 3.5 hrs. I'd recommend watching it at a theater for sure. Thought it was a real story until I looked it up LOL

  • Thank you so much for running the Taylor Swift & popheads community here!! It was one of your other comments somewhere that really inspired me start posting and commenting around the fediverse. It does take work to cultivate a community, which I have taken for granted being just a lurker in reddit/in general.

  • This is a wonderful comment!! Before coming into fediverse, I got so excited learning about local wikis, which grew from a wiki for the city of Davis. I am actually so sad that these local wikis didn't grew to be popular, but the vision of having a hyper local wiki that houses general history, news, establishment reviews, local college/university advice etc. all in a wiki format is just amazing in my opinion!! I even saw people starting up a student club that moderates the wiki, and people had hosted edit-a-thon nights :) Hosting a university fediverse instance is perfect for a student club - clubs usually get a bit of funding each term, which could be used for hosting expenses, and the mods etc can be the exec members of the club!

    I have experienced some of the biggest rep tv clownery from my swiftie friend, but after getting burnt so many times, she has stopped entertaining any ideas of when rep tv comes out (rightfully so LOL). So I was wondering what are some theories that you believe for the release date of rep tv now that we are in 2025? I truly believe this is the year she drops rep. I have heard of the 3/21 theory, and I could see that being the announcement date maybe.. but I am hoping for a Q3/Q4 date personally.

    What are some good ad-free podcasts?

  • I've recently came across SRSLY Wrong after Cory Doctorow shared about their Library Socialism 3 part series.

    It has no ads, but they have several sketches that are parody ads that relate to the topics they discuss each episode.
