Wieso kann ich eigentlich Videos von @digitalcourage.de nicht in @newpipe öffnen? Umschalten auf Peertube kann ich ja in NewPipe, und auch @mediacccde schauen (und Soundcloud und Bandcamp konsumieren). Aber digitalcourage.video kann ich nur im Browser ansehen, was bei Android immer kompliziert ist, weil ich ja die Wanzen wie Chrome und Samsung Browser nur im größten Notfall nehme.

Bspw. mein Kontext: Kind nutzt die App auf dem Tablet, wenn es etwas schauen will, was z.B. im KikaPlayer nicht verfügbar ist. Wir setzen die Empfehlung von @dasnuf (aus ihren großartigen Podcasts #NUR30MIN und "Mit Kindern leben", danke dafür!) um, dass das Kind sich Kanäle für Kinderserien genehmigen lässt, also Videos nur über den entsprechenden...

ist an sich ganz einfach, musst nur in den "Einstellungen" unter "Inhalt" auf "PeerTube-Instanzen" gehen und da die Instanz hinzufügen, dann klappt das schon und du kannst mit dem dropdown immer zwischen den eingegeben Instanzen wechseln
🧵 …neben @peertube hatte ich oben in der Toot-Reihe auch u.a. Invidious um YouTube anonymisiert zu nutzen und teilen vorgeschlagen. Ich nutze wie oben erwähnt den @newpipe Klon Tubular mit mehr eingebauten Privatsphäre-Funktionen. Um @invidious auf dem Desktop so wie Handy als App zu nutzen gibt es Materialious:

Found the solution myself: Installed the NewPipe repository in FDroid and installed NewPipe from there. Now I have v0.27.2 and videos are again playing! 😀 Thank you!

Newpipe is updated and downloading. Happy day.
Also installed Tubular. Glad to see the imports are interchangeable.
The major reason I love Newpipe is the commercials are blocked, and even better removed altogether.
