Was browsing Sync For Reddit a few minutes ago when it finally shut down. Just got the following notification:
Sync For Reddit has shutdown Thank you for using Sync. It's been one hell of a ride.
Man am I pissed, but I'm happy to be here now.

On the bright side, he's making sync for lemmy now
I revanced sync so it would continue working for me and still got that message... Didn't know that it cut off regular users at the same time.
I'm gradually breaking my reddit addiction but I was so unprepared for this that it's going to take me some time to fully put it down.
In the meantime, I've stopped posting and upvoting and I'm limiting my comments by an extreme amount...
Fuck /u/spez though. They're not going to make a damn dime in ad dollars off me.
Reddit had one hell of an era. Been part of my routines for about a dozen years. I'm really hoping the fediverse can continue to scratch the same itch. So far so good!
