You say that as if half the country isn't made up of people who screech unironically about how "free" we are either because of how many guns they they're free to buy, or how many workers the free market is free to exploit.
"Freedom" is still darkly our supposed brand, and until our collapse or rebranding, because we clearly won't be fixing anything, it deserves to be mocked as the gallows joke it is.
