Haha, it's a sale and Chelsea are on fire (not the good kind, think dumpster fire). They have talented players who will do well elsewhere, but for whatever reason Chelsea hasn't been able to get the most out of so many new signings.
I think it's a great buy for us, and I can see Arteta slowly turning him into an 8 (against weaker teams) while he gets most of his game time somewhere in the front 3 for now.
We're still a massive club globally, plus PL money and now CL money. Plus we're no longer hamstringed by Ashburton Grove like we were during the Wenger years.
Doesn't really answer my question. We don't see any other non-oil funded clubs spending this amount. Arsenal isn't great at selling. Man Utd is heavily limited due to previous window - shouldn't Arsenal be as well?
