  • There's only 1 playoff spot still up for grabs.

The Riders and Stamps are both in contention for 3rd in the West, and their head-to-head on Friday could be decisive. If the Riders win, they're headed to the playoffs. The Stamps would have to win that match and then make up 1 more win over the Riders in the last 2 weeks to make the playoffs.

But the Riders haven't won since Labour Day - a 5-game losing streak. Their defence has been weak, allowing 30+ points in each match. It should be a fun match between the two rivals!

    • I'm surprised the Stamps still have an outside chance. But, with the Riders slumping it is possible. Should be an interesting game for sure.

      • Yeah, it's definitely the most interesting game of the weekend that's for sure :P. I'm not super familiar with the Stamps, but I believe they've fallen short of expectations this year. How much of that is on Maier, and do you think he's likely to be their starting QB next year?

  • Disastrous 2nd quarter for the Elks. They need to reset at HT

  • I'm a cat lover, and I missed that this was a feline face-off tonight: Lions @ Tiger-Cats! May the best cat win!

    • I wanted the Ti-Cats to win, but I think the best cat team probably won. Dane Evans was charging down the field on that last-minute, to-win-it drive. That's really impressive looking QB depth. That point is nullified though if VA is injured and Dane Evans is their starter for the playoffs

    • Ti-Cats are on the board! 10-7!

  • I was surprised the CFL got Green Day for the Grey Cup Half-Time Show. I guess they're on the other side of their peak (I'm not really in the loop of pop culture), but that's a big name. I saw them in concert around 2014. They're big time. I hope it's a good show. This is good publicity for the CFL in my opinion. I'm confident CFL awareness/appreciation is higher in other cities, but in Toronto no one knows about the Argos. I think their 150-year anniversary, as the oldest pro sports team in North America, is pretty cool. The Argos didn't hype that up enough either in my mind. /end rant
