The new version can do transcribing! Speech to text for totally free
Honestly first time I’ve heard of it! Might have to check it out: I mostly use Resolve, and Premiere when I have to.

The last version is really nice
With sequence, multicamera, text to speach support
The support for hardware acceleration render could be better but it's getting there
Also you can't have an effect track (or at least I couldn't) which would be great
And I found the stabilization tool to be hard to use.
Other than that it's really good and allow to have a reel pro workflow, and for free !
I prefer it to Shotcut. Blender is also really nice but I think it lacks option in the video editing part. Although I didn't tried it for a long time
