I thought these were meant to be the saviour when antibiotics stopped working
They are! Moreso they can can endlessly evolve to kill bacteria, just like bacteria can endlessly evolve to fight them off. It's called "Phage Therapy", but unfortunately it's not a mass production thing yet.
