question for admins, mods and users: do you promise to be better than reddit?
I want to migrate here as an active user, should I be worried about the bans from admins and mods? and are admins planning on working on the UI IF yes please open up the discussion for users to help in creating a community we can all be proud of!
Not an admin or mod, but I can say that this is already better than reddit. There's more transparency and users are being listened to. You can follow the kbinMeta magazine, for instance, to see what I'm talking about.
thanks for the reply, being here oddly feels nostalgic it is like exploring new forums in early 2000's, I hope reddit dies in a fiery death and alternatives thrive and grow.
I think it's unlikely that reddit will die, just as twitter didn't die, and it's in a worse place financially. While it won't die, it surely won't be the same. And that give us an opportunity to grow real communities here, on lemmy or mastodon.
I gotta say that I was not an active redditor for the past couple of years, but I'm happy to engage in conversations here, to help the platform grow.
I will try to be more active on here once a functional Android app comes out. I will try to be more active on desktop but when I was on Reddit I usually used the Reddit is Fun app.
