So I'm pretty sure my lemmy.ca account just got shadowbanned for telling someone that murder is NOT acceptable

Meanwhile, another account is still out promoting murder as of less than an hour ago. Boy, lemmy sure is a great alternative to reddit.

Seriously, what the fuck?

Edit: not shadowbanned, but account lockout/suspension. Would be nice to receive some sort of notice.

I can see your post here? Why do you think you're shadow banned (I don't even know if that functionality exists yet)?
- Shadowbanned may have been the wrong term. I think it's actually just an account lockout.
Whatever it was for it's only a temp ban

So you should be unbanned in about 2 hours

  At the bottom of each page on an instance is a link to the modlog from mods and admin of federated instances. You can see post removals and bans there.
- By all objective measures, so did the person replying to me. They're still galavanting around lemmy advocating for murder.

  How are you sure it was for that comment in particular?
Murder is not acceptable in any circumstance, but is defensible in some circumstances.
