Spam bots

I've seen seeing posts all over Lemmy about bots inundating instances with sign-ups. I'm just wondering if mander.xyz is doing OK.

Doing fine! We've flown under their radar until now.

But I have listened to the warnings of other admins and I've re-activated the registration form to prevent experiencing that same fate.
- It's not like the registration form is difficult to fill out, I've seen worse on forums. I'd say leave it up permanently, if filling in a simple form is too much bother for some people then they probably wouldn't contribute anything meaningful to the discussions anyway! 😛
