Tonight's Ask PHLemmy: What have you survived that would’ve killed you 150 years ago?
There are too many to mention.
Insulin, for starters, is just a hundred years old. If you were T1 or LADA back in the day, you're pretty much dead. Whereas I survived like 2-4 hospitalizations for related illnesses.
I'd like to think that 150 years from now, cancer would be seen as that generation's polio.
1st time ko marinig about LADA. Marami na naman ako itatanong sa doktor next time.

Yung iba kong coworkers at ex-coworkers are drinking at the workplace right now, as in naka-upo sa lapag na may bote ng alfonso 🤦♀️
Would I drink at work? Siguro kung may occasion talaga (ex. duty during christmas or new year) tapos isang shot lang o dalawa lang, hindi yung inuman na inuman.
I can't help but judge them a little this time. Seriously? Hindi ba pwedeng isa sa mga bahay man lang? May pa-speakers pa. Dito talaga? It's really...nadudugyotan na talaga ako. Puro inom, kaloka. Ang baho pa kapag napapadaan ako. Parang nasa tabi-tabi lang.
Tapos mamaya may mga gamit na kulang-kulang o magulo kung malasing sila. Itatago ko na nga yung supply, baka mapag-diskitahan pa. Uwi na ako agad, I'm just appalled.

Hay akala ko isang location lang pupuntahan, dalawa pala tapos late sinabi. Then balik sa workplace to do more work.
I actually don't mind na kung san-san ako dinadala, but it would be nice if masabihan ako at least the night before for the sake of time management. Aba, isang tao lang ako 'no.
Sabi ni coworker kapag shift niya daw tapos pinalabas siya iniisip niya pa din yung trabaho na naiwan sa loob kaya nag-aalala siya.
Ako naman kapag nasa labas ako di ko iniisip yung naiwan ko 😆 sis nasa labas ako, ayaw ko ng unnecessary stress. Tamang sightseeing lang, oohing and aahing sa kalsada at traffic.
May pake naman ako ng konti, pero kasi management problem na yan kung hindi talaga kaya eh. Ni hindi nga ako nakakain ng breakfast tapos malalang OT na ako.
Tumatanggap na nga ako ng tips kasi pangkain ko na yun at wala na akong time magluto. Hmph.

I have no regrets staying away from TikTok and consciously avoiding YouTube vlogs, and this documentary was more justification for that decision.
