August 2023. Over here we are curb stomping one climate record after another.
In the past week I did three (3) strength workouts and I went running twice. Unfortunately I did not have my phone with me on my runs, so I wasn't able to track my speed and I can't tell if there is any improvement yet. When running I was overtaken by a madlad who must have been going like 14km/h for multiple rounds straight. I hope to one day achieve whatever he can do.
Anyway, this week went steady enough for me to lose all focus on tracking my lifts and runs, so I don't have any specific PRs to mention. I have more than a month left before competing in the trail run and I can already run 5km easily. It should not be a problem 🤞
I saw in your other thread you are preparing for a 7k race, congrats and good luck! From experience I can tell you: if you already run 5k you can definitely do the race, during a race day you will feel much better than usual!
Also, if you are enjoying it I would encourage to get a running watch, the training improves gratly once you can know at what speed you are running at any given moment, it allows you to set objectives and actually follow them more easily.
My gym doesn't have parallel bars for dips, only angled bars and it's messing up my chest cartilage. So I found out that two treadmills beside each other actually have bars that are parallel. I'll let you figure out if I used them and will keep using them to make a case for parallel bars.
I been running for like 10 minutes almost every day. Except some days I don't due to things. Along with that I been doing incline pull ups and push ups. Im trying to eventually do pull ups. I'm just trying to take better care of myself, and doing something is better than nothing.
