Doctor Who missing episodes are "out there", says TV archive boss

Lost episodes of the BBC sci-fi series exist in the collections of private owners, says archivist.

I’m expecting at some point they’ll be recreated with AI.
- They have recreated a few with animation, but it'd be interesting to see what they can eventually do with AI stuff. Even if they can't do whole episodes, I wonder if they could do something like adding old Doctors into new multi-Doctor episodes or something like that?
  
  The animations are pretty darn good, particularly the style used in The Power of the Daleks.
