The Hill will be hosting an event where lawmakers, experts, and administration officials come together to provide analysis and answer questions related to potential national security risks.
Thursday, August 17 - 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT
Speakers:
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), House Oversight & Accountability Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, & Government Innovation
Greg Eghigian, Former Director, Science, Technology, & Society Program, Pennsylvania State University; Professor of History & Bioethics, Pennsylvania State University
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), House Oversight & Accountability Committee
Generally speaking, I agree with you; it's usually vague. However, these two representatives have been the most vocal.
I'm hopeful that we'll at least gain more insight into whether they were granted approval to enter a SCIF with David Grusch, or what their plans are for more hearings, among other things.
It’s nice to see The Hill doing this. An event like this is bound to stir up more headlines, even if its topics already addressed. The longer it stays in the public spotlight, the more pressure is put on other politicians to address it.
Edit: Looks like you can also list a question you’d like asked if you register for the event.
