No push notifications?

Is there going to be an option for push notifications on the future?

I don't care about push notifications on most social media, but it's nice to see when I get replies and DMs on here.

This would be a nice feature. I'd request, though, that to whomever is going to work on notifications please don't bundle legitimate message alerts with "hey, use the app" notifications because it is the douchiest thing ever to do (looking at you Snapchat).
- That sort of thing usually creeps in only when the app goes corporate. I think we're good for many years to come.
  
  Yup, and as a dev, I'd maintain a fork if that was added in.
