hi, all; hope this is appropriate.
i was saddened to find out that yummly was killed off over the weekend even though it was one of my favourite places to find new recipes.
does anyone have any good replacements? especially which make it easy to search by cuisine or dietary type?
I don't really have a good suggestion for a general recipe search engine, but for the recipe storage I moved away from Yummly ages ago because they didn't import everything within the app (which most commercial apps don't due to copyright issues). I moved to Paprika which I used successfully up until recently where I moved to a self-hosted solution called Tandoor. Both work great as recipe storage solution.
thanks! i did look at tandoor which is great for recipe storage but i was more looking for the recipe discovery of yummly. :(
I know it's not the same, but I'm a happy subscriber to America's Test Kitchen,. Whenever I'm looking to cook something new, I go there first to get the core recipe techniques. They're a good, no fuss, recipe source.
I was recently surprised by the filter options on bbc good foods, maybe that helps?

I’ve used Epicurious.com in the past and it was quite good. Also FoodNetwork.com. Allrecipes.com is good for a large quantity of recipes and is very active but I’ve found that, since the recipes are community submitted, they can be hit or miss.
