Senate passes abortion and firearms bills as work resumes

Democrats agreed to modify portions of bills Republicans objected to in order to end a walkout that had dragged on for over a month.

HB2002 is the bill that will protect Oregonians’ access to reproductive healthcare, and expand medical access for trans people.

I grew up in the Deep South. I chose to live in Oregon. State legislators like Sen. Steiner are just one of the many many many reasons I’m happier here.
