BASEketball's hospital scene never gets old. The entire movie is a riot, but that scene is the cream of the crop.
But special mention goes to the drugs/HFS scene in 21 Jump Street, which I was able to catch during its theatrical run. I haven't seen an audience laugh harder to that... than maybe Dumb and Dumber when I was a kid.
I guess it would the home alone scene where protagonist Kevin puts a tarantula into the face of the bad guy. Him screaming like a girl made me laugh so hard.
mukhang hindi tatama sa pilipinas, which is good news for me at least. i just hope it's far away enoguh not to have any significant effect on the monsoon here, the soil here is already saturated enough with too much rain
Sana nga. While I hope that we have enough water in our dams to last us for the next year's dry season (or beyond), wag naman sana yung sobra-sobra.. Sana well-spaced para hindi yung kailangang magpawala ng tubig ang mga dam natin pag gantong maulan, tapos ubus-ubusan naman ng tubig pag wala nang bagyo.
Ginagawa ko talagang workout ang rollerskating. Attempting lunges while moving in skates is definitely way, way, way more fun and challenging than your usual lunge hahahaha. I think I'll invest in this long term. May usapan na din kami ni coach. Dream ko din sumayaw in skates and look cool and confident. I can imagine myself looking that cool and confident tapos may magkaka crush sakin (whut) HAHA. K, I'll stop being delusional joke lang.
Heck, maybe let's do rollerblading and ice skating in the future too if hit a certain level of expertise. Pero syempre pa isa-isa lang, I don't have that much time and money 🤑
Bgm: dance the night by dua lipa barbie style 😆
Nahiya pa ako mag warm up dun, tho. I have yet to see anyone warm up and stretch like nobody's business kaya di ko din masyadong magawa to my heart's content, parang sumasakop lang ako ng space and sinasayang ko lang.
Ang natututunan ko dito (thoughts about life): don't be afraid of falling, just make sure you fall correctly if you can and then get back right up! and dance, and pose 💅✨
Sa mga pinaggagawa ko I haven't posted any awra pics in action. I'm just not good enough yet, gusto ko maayos yung form ko and I myself have nothing to critique kapag nag post ako. Plus, I am taking this seriously, hindi lang pang ig 'to. So, the rest are just for progress pics and vids.
Trust me, I check that out then I incorporate it into my future exercises and drills for improvement. Now, if I can find (and afford) the right coaches for guidance then I'm golden, the rest is up to me.
I had my lastfm account analyzed for ‘mainstream-ness’ by some website. It analyzed the top 50 of all my scrobbles.
I am not sure how they determine ‘mainstream-ness’ but assuming it's among those who use that site, and that the people using such sites are the type that are proud of their being hipster… Heh. I guess I should just own up to it: both being a hipster and being proud of it, lol!
At the risk of exposing my bad musical taste, here's the top 50 songs from my lastfm account:
I recognize some names! Bruce Springsteen, Depeche Mode, The Cardigans, Arctic Monkeys, Utada Hikaru…
I am not sure if that is what you meant by ”screams zoomer” but I see someone who doesn't let time, genre, and language get in the way of what you want to vibe into.
Should I ask what about your list “screams zoomer”? Yeah, I'm asking, if you don't mind.
Finally got to watch Oppenheimer. I was glad me and my companion splurged out on a theater with reclining seats because it was quite a long one. I also had to take a pee break in the middle of the movie, which is something I've never done in recent memory.
In the second half of the movie, I remembered discussions about Christopher Nolan's statements about it, though I remembered it as “IT experts and AI,” which, upon looking it up, wasn't that far off.
First impressions though: I suck at recognizing faces, especially with the way the movie is structured. I had difficulty remembering who's who, which is quite a shame, tbh.
I actually liked how some scenes (mostly in the first and last thirds of the movie) jump back and forth, while maintaining a good narrative flow, but damn if I can remember who is who.
It's not as confusing as Memento, nor Primer, and it doesn't need to be. I think the use of nonlinear storytelling here is to highlight how each character has faced the consequences of their achievements (as a group, or indivually). The line Albert Einstein gave Oppenheimer at the end of the film drives this point home.
IDK though, I think I missed a good chunk of the movie by spending most of it trying to remember who's who.
