Cups tossed in recycling bins at Massachusetts Starbucks tracked to incinerators, Alabama landfill

WBZ glued Apple AirTags inside a number of Starbucks cups to track where they ended up.

I wasn't sure the best community on slrpnk to post this; but this one seemed pretty applicable.

Those are #5 plastic. Nobody recycles that. It goes straight to trash.
- only 1 & 2 here, and then only jars, jugs, and bottles. the rest gets burned or buried.
