My loyal airheads, I must report that we no longer have the most threads of any Mbin magazine. The strongest lifting gas [email protected] has overtaken us. I've sent them a post congratulating them, but they might not take it well. In a few weeks, I'm probably doing that for [email protected] too.
In the era of the first powered airships, hydrogen was generated by pouring lots and lots of sulfuric acid over lots and lots of iron filings. While hydrogen production is far safer now, hydrogen is currently banned as a lifting gas in the US. With the correct precautions, I think we're due for a hydrogen renaissance. I'd rather save the helium for MRI machines, honestly.
