Government caves to worker calls for 24-hour trains
A train strike that could have brought Sydney to a standstill has been avoided after the government agreed to run 24-hour services.
Commuters will get 24-hour trains in Sydney this weekend after the government caved to a union demand to stop potentially-crippling strikes.
First time I've noticed so many workers wearing the union t-shirts on the job. Good on them. Maybe I wasn't paying attention during previous industrial action or just plain forgot.
