Sources: Saints fire Allen after 7th loss in row

The Saints have fired coach Dennis Allen after losing their seventh straight game Sunday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

Expected this for end of season. I guess they want to get a jump on things.
- Yeah wow. Hard to imagine firing your coach mid season will improve things, but maybe they decided the writing was on the wall.
  
  Sometimes you get more out of players under an interim and can figure out who's worth keeping around for the rebuild, and of course you start putting out feelers to agents earlier.
