This thread is meant for people to share what they've been doing this week. Incremental game recommendations are encouraged, although other topics are welcome as well. Just remember to keep it casual, be helpful, and have fun!
Still playing CheckBack mod because it just sits there until I poke it.
Went back to the Communitree and managed to get past a timewall I evidently got bored at last time. Now doing the Candy Box part - amazing what you can do in a TPT mod!! This one has astonished me.
Probably about to drop Pringles - too many pointless timewalls.
Trimps starting to be where people mean when they talk about restarting over the game being too complicated, lots of feature introductions filling out lots of upgrade improvements. still going to be a while to wrap my head around the actually structure in terms of other games.
Celestial incremental, calls itself a tree game but there isn't such a visual of the reset tree... the features also don't match each other clearly and lead to some scope explosions. The features themself can be annoying but everything is an upgrade to them so the main tension are the resets. There is also a lot of running around menus which acts as kindof mazey to remember which features are relevant at a given time and reset.
I've been revisiting old games recently. I started up a fresh save of Derivative Clicker and wow does its age show. Nevertheless, I like it. I saw that Ordinal Pringles got a new update recently, visited it, realized I forgot how the game worked, and then reset my progress. It's not that bad, I remember enjoying the game consistently when I first played it.
Huh, is this due to the tickspeed getting really high? I thought there was a countermeasure against that. Does it not work properly?
Oh well, I'll just wait and see.
Trying Perceptron has turned into actually playing it. Despite me being on a level where more active play is rewarded, I still feel like this game is more of the kind where I click a few buttons for a minute, then leave it alone, coming back in a few hours. It's a "check in a few times per day, set and forget" game. And I'm fine with that, but if you want to play something more active or engaging you might want to go elsewhere.
On a less-related note, finally tried my first automation game, shapez. Had a feeling I'd really like the genre for awhile but never really got time to sit down and play. I predicted correctly :)
