how does the zariman extract button work?

I assume it just has you solo extract when pressed and I'm good to press it whenever as long as I'm not host.

Am I right could I still end up fucking/host migrating people?

You are correct.

If you're not player #1 (as in, the one that gets waypoint #1 when placing a waypoint/marker) and the bounty is done, you can safely extract with the button without fucking over anyone.
It works exactly as you would expect. When activated it makes you extract, if you're host then everyone gets a host migration pretty much instantly. Which screws them over. Better to just wait for everyone in the elevator.
