Jay Morrison of the Athletic let go

As someone who actually pays for an Athletic subscription in part for Jay's writing on the Bengals I'm pretty disappointed.

Never really followed the Athletic. Was Jay our beat reporter? I heard other folks were let go from there too right?
- Yeah apparently lots of lay offs. Even with the NYT buying the operation I guess the mighty dollar has the final say. He and Paul Dehner were the Bengals writers. Both were host of the Hear That Podcast Growlin' (Paul is still there) As a Bengals fan out of the Cincinnati market listening to them really helped me feel connected to the team.
