Just got home from work. They just sort of popped up...so I wanted to give others the chance to enjoy the view.
I'm so jealous of this, i live in the equator and will never have a chance to experience this

If it makes you feel a bit better, it doesn't look this colourful to the naked eye. It's normally more of like dynamic, wispy cloud. There are very rare occasions you see some colour, but even then it's not as bright as the photos.
You might get a chance in the future if something like this happens again Carrington Event.
